Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a holistic, client-centred approach to health. It uses food, herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, lifestyle change and stress management to support the body's own capacity for health and wellbeing. Naturopaths look at the whole person, including diet, digestion, sleep, stress and personal history, rather than symptoms in isolation.

A naturopathic consultation may include:

  • A detailed health history and discussion of possible contributing factors

  • Dietary guidance and practical recipes

  • Herbal medicine and nutritional supplements

  • Pathology testing, where appropriate

  • Stress, sleep and lifestyle strategies

  • Education so you can take an active part in your own health plan

Naturopathy is complementary to conventional healthcare. We encourage you to keep your GP or specialist informed, particularly if you take medication or have a diagnosed condition.
