Dr Georgia Heathcote is an obstetrician gynaecologist whose passion is helping women live their best lives at every life stage. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training at the University of Queensland and has worked at various hospitals throughout Queensland while completing her specialty training. She has completed a Simulation Fellowship, honing her skills in education and emergency management and understands that the key to quality care is clear and empathic communication.

 

Georgia practices trauma-informed care and understands the impact lived experiences can have on our bodies. Her goal is educating and empowering the women she cares for while supporting them holistically. She believes that multidisciplinary team care allows women to have a deeper understanding of their own bodies and minds improving their health outcomes.

Georgia has an interest in pelvic pain, dysregulated periods, vulval and cervical issues and hormonal concerns such as perimenopause and PMDD.

Georgia also practices as an obstetrician* and delivers at the Mater Mothers in South Brisbane. It is a true joy for Georgia to guide women through their pregnancies, encouraging them to trust their bodies while also expertly managing any risks that may arise. She is enthusiastic about collaborating with her midwifery colleagues to ensure her women have comprehensive and holistic care. She understands the importance of nuanced conversations ensuring her women are fully informed as to what is happening in their own bodies. A healthy mum and baby and a joyful birth is always her goal.
